Symbols & Icons of Thailand

Technically, there are three national symbols of Thailand. They are depicted by an animal, the Asian Elephant, a flower, the Ratchapruek and a piece of architecture, the Sala Thai. However, I think that the Thai culture is just more than that. Its amazing temples – especially the Wat Phra Kaew one in Bangkok -, its warrior, mythical giant and Yaksha statues, its frescoes, its Koi fish and its precious and colorful silk are truly unique. So here is a tribute to the great cultural heritage of Thailand. I hope that it will make you want to visit this beautiful country!
